Earth Overshoot Day

We are depleting the natural resources that the planet is able to regenerate ever more quickly. May 28th marks Earth Overshoot Day in our country. From this day on, we start living on credit, which means we need about one and a half planets to survive.

Every year, the gap between humanity’s consumption of natural resources and the planet’s ability to regenerate ecosystems widens.

If in 1970 it happened at the end of the year, on December 29th, in 2024 it happened today, on May 28th.

Being sustainable isn’t just about stopping harming the planet. It’s about taking positive action in its favor.

Resiway 2023 environmental indicators:

44.5K tons of valued waste;

>25K m3 of wastewater recovered for treatment;

22.6K tons of secondary raw materials (recycled) introduced in the production of biofuels;

>66.8K tons of CO2 equivalent avoided.
